Abstract

Case study on the planning and management of integrated information units based on the experience of the Documentation Center of Caritas Diocesana (Zaragoza, Spain). The history of the information unit, its technical procedures and services are analyzed. The planning of the services and the information chain is based on users’ studies. Finally, its challenges and perspectives are considered. The paper shows the opportunities and problems that small and middle information units in bigger organizations have to face in the short and middle term
