Librarian education in Mercosur: overview and trends

Analysis of the Library and Information Science graduation and continued education courses in MERCOSUL countries in order to possibilitate their integration. After a contextualisation of the social and political evolution of education in the Mercosur, their curricula, teaching staff and continued education courses are considered. Documentary analysis was used for data gathering, and methods of Compared Librarianship and Compared Pedagogy were used for their analysis of curricula of the year 1996.
