Usability analysis of the homepages of the Spanish digital newspapers

After a brief introduction to the basic characteristics of web site usability, a usability study of the the main online general information newspapers homepages is presented. This study was based on an adaptation of the web site usability issues proposed by Nielsen. Results show that, in this field, online Spanish newspapers have, without much effort, acceptable levels of usability. Amazingly, the most usable newspapers are not the more popular ones, but those of medium size editorial groupsDownloads
