The taxonomical study of the structure of journalistic web portals and of the frequency analysis of their elements —informative products, documentary products and added value services— have centered the reviews about their development. Data mining is a technology that allows the identification of trends and patterns followed in this development. This begins from the original knowledge base conformed by the group of works previously developed, and allows the recovery of additional information. Applying a multivariant analysis to the matrix formed by the Journalistic portals and their elements, we will obtain several series of clusters that will allow to determine which journalistic portals establish the trend to follow, at the same time that gives additional information about their communication groups and about the original mass media related to the portal —press, radio, television or Internet—. The positive results extracted from this research verify its viability, predicting possible aplications of this methodology to other types of web portalsDownloads
