Abstract

Document management in organizations that produce content is one of the critical issues that these companies must confront, due to the large accumulation of information and the need to customize it according to their different requirements for publication. Efficiency in this type of management streamlines all productive tasks and incorporates a new vision of the production process, since this process can be carried on disregarding the final publication method. This article describes the process of transformation from a traditional publishing process to a production model that is based on contents and that is independent from the final publication method. The initial starting point, as well as, the difficulties encountered, the decissions taken and the objectives achieved are thoroughly described throughout the text.
