The Aragón Territorial Information System (SITAR) is a technological tool that was born as a result of the application of the autonomous competencies on territorial management that the constitution and the reginal statute ensure to the Aragonian people. Its creation and subsequent developments are influenced by the requirements that the regional legislation, the European Union, the scientific community and the society that are demanding from this type of public information platforms. This article details the most important aspects of the SITAR in relation to its technological evolution towards an spatial data infrastructure and also the incidents and findings that occurred while developing this tool.Downloads
