Reflections on the contribution of professor José María Izquierdo Arroyo to the field of knowledge representation and organization, produced for the fest-schrift offered to him on the occasion of his retirement. He is one of the most original and independent Spanish thinkers in knowledge organization, who has supported the development of the discipline from his solid foundations in the fields of Philosophy, Linguistics, Logic and Semiotics. His efforts to develop a rigorous, interdisciplinary and integrated theory must be especially highlighted, together with his open and hopeful humanistic perspective.Downloads
