Abstract

With the aim to create production indicators through the gathering of researchers curricula and starting with the data resulting from the INTA scientific production for the period 2000-2005, this paper analyzes the validity of the Impact Factor as a way to evaluate researchers’ scientific activity. Also, a reflection is done about the proposal of alternative systems to measure the production, in particular the H index, from Hirsch, in order to define the most convenient system for our institution.
