The theoretical-methodological aspects of the treatment of photographs in archival holdings are researched. A literature review was done in three subjects: the photographic process, content analysis theory and methodology and archival cataloguing. It was verified that cataloguing of photographs in archives present idiosyncratic characteristics that must be taken into account.Downloads
