Abstract

Analysis of the public-officials’ discourses on reading published in the daily newspaper El País. This project is based on a frequency study where the most relevant terms have been analyzed to observe the evolution of public discourse throughout the period of time 2004 to 2010, paying special attention to the sections in which news appear and their relation with government changes, and comparing the results with other relevant Spanish newspapers, as El Mundo y ABC.

Author Biography

Belén García-Delgado, Universidad Europea de Madrid

Belén García-Delgado posee el Doctorado con Mención Europea en Documentación por la Universidad de Salamanca. Es licenciada en Filología Hispánica y además en Documentación por la Universidad de Salamanca. También posee el título de Máster en ELE por la Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo. Ha participado en los proyectos de investigación de financiación interna de la UEM Inmilingüa II, y de financiación externa SDF: Sólo Deporte Femenino, el primer programa de radio sobre deporte y mujer: investigación, igualdad y aprendizaje y también en congresos internacionales relacionados con la lectura, documentación, literatura, innovación docente y enseñanza de Español como lengua extranjera. Desde el 2008-2009 ha participado en los tribunales de evaluación de los proyectos de fin de carrera de la Licenciatura de Traducción. En el curso 2009-2010 ha coodirigido el programa de radio Una tarde libros en la clínica de medios UEMCOM. Además, ha sido coordinadora internacional de la Facultad de Artes y Comunicación.

Ha trabajado en diversas unidades de información, entre ellas la biblioteca de la Universidad Europea de Madrid. En la actualidad imparte cursos en varios postgrados en la UEM y también en las asignaturas de Licenciatura y Grado de Biblioteca, Documentación y Fuentes de información, en lengua inglesa y española, en las titulaciones de Periodismo, Periodismo + Comunicación Audiovisual, Triple titulación, Publicidad y Relaciones Públicas, Publicidad y Relaciones Públicas + Comunicación Audiovisual, Comunicación Audiovisual, Relaciones Internacionales y Traducción e Interpretación.

Además es Responsable de programas del área de Medios, lenguas y sociedad digital.
