The perception of electronics industry workers on information and knowledge management aspects related to their work

The perception of workers in the electronics industry is studied on the how information and knowledge related to their work is managed. A field study was carried out from August to November 2014. Hundred ten-question questionnaires were distributed to those Fatec Garça’s students working in the Brazilian electro-electronics industries of the Center-West of São Paulo Stae, Brazil. The Chi-Square test was used to determine the dependence between variables, with a significance level of 5%. The results confirm that there is an active concern on information management, access control is performed, only useful and relevant information is provided, finding new information is encouraged, almost any exclusions are perceived, and there is interest in information evaluation and quality assurance.
