A case study is presented on the promotion of data sharing, use and reuse in Nursing through the application of FAIR principles. Articles containing FAIR-able datasets were located, and a survey was conducted on the process of transforming existing datasets in Nursing. It is a qualitative study for data analysis, with bibliographic and documentary exploration in Brapci, Health sites and Google Scholar. The results point to literature on FAIR principles and initiatives underway in the area of Nursing, as well as suggestions for applying FAIR to datasets in the area. It is concluded that in Nursing the transformation of research data to conform to FAIR principles is still a difficult process and has some gaps.
