Resumo

Os sistemas de organização do conhecimento (SOC) têm como princípio funções e aspectos éticos que são elementos que colaboram para a construção da coesão social enquanto instrumentos formadores de visão de mundo e por organizar a memória comunitária. Deste modo, é preciso qualificar o acesso e o uso da informação, mediados por representações documentárias a partir de SOC como as linguagens documentárias em instituições como as bibliotecas. Nesse sentido, colocam-se como problemas de pesquisa: a) quais as conexões entre as funções e finalidades dos SOC e a coesão social?; b) como a literatura da Ciência da Informação tem incorporado e discutido o conceito de coesão social?; c) havendo essas discussões, há conexões com a OC? Propõe-se como objetivo para esta pesquisa investigar a literatura da Ciência da Informação a respeito das conexões teórico-aplicadas sobre a organização do conhecimento, os sistemas de organização do conhecimento e o conceito de coesão social. Esta pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa e exploratória, utilizando o modelo de análise de conteúdo (Bardin, 2003). As bases de dados utilizadas para coleta dos artigos foram: Base de Dados em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI), a Web of Science (WoS) e a Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts (LISTA). Com a aplicação dos critérios e análise, foi possível perceber que os artigos recuperados abordam de forma discreta a relação da coesão social com a Ciência da Informação e de forma periférica a relação com a Organização do Conhecimento e os SOC.
