The Spanish seminaries have been educational centers of great relevance for the formation of children and young people since its constitution in the sixteenth century. For the tracing of a history of education in Spain, these ecclesiastical centers that bring new contents to the Spanish educational panorama cannot be left out. Within the various possibilities that these entities offer us, we show how the analysis of the documentation contained in their archives, as well as the bibliographical production collected in their libraries will provide new and very important data for the study of education in Spain from the 16th century to the present.
