Exploration of geographic information services in Spanish university libraries, supported by Geographic Information Systems (GIS) platforms. GIS tools are utilized across various fields, including documentary disciplines. Therefore, the characteristics of geographic information services in Spanish university libraries are analyzed in this study using criteria covering information services and web platforms. Theoretical aspects related to geographic data and information, geolocation tools, geographic information services in libraries, and their web platforms are examined. Criteria and indicators are designed for studying geographic information services. To select the sample, the Directory of the REBIUN Network of 76 Spanish university libraries was consulted. The analysis reveals distinctive features of geographic information services in these libraries, including levels of collaboration, integration, identity, accessibility, information architecture, collections, interface design, and search systems. Conclusions are drawn regarding their integration in the library context and the need to strengthen collaboration among institutions, recommending improvements in website visualization and content description.
