Considering that only knowledge can create sustainable competitive advantages so that organizations can deal with contemporary challenges, and that these advantages can only be enjoyed through organizational memory, this study carried out a bibliographical survey on knowledge management, knowledge management implementation models, critical success factors of knowledge management and organizational memory. The searches, from 2008 to 2021, were carried out in the Base de Dados de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação and in the Scientific Electronic Library Online. A total of 435 records were retrieved which, after eliminating inconsistencies and duplications, resulted in 243 valid records. Through this survey, it was possible to verify the situational analysis of the studies involving the subjects studied, as well as the relationship between them, in the last 14 years, which, as a result, has made it possible to affirm that these subjects are in evidence, but that the relationship between them needs to be further explored. It is believed that conducting studies such as this can contribute to the consolidation of knowledge management, organizational memory, and Information Science, in addition to collaborating to have more successful cases of knowledge management in organizations.
